This policy explains what personal data this website collects, why, and what your rights are. It is written to be clear rather than exhaustive. If anything is unclear, please get in touch.
Who is responsible for your data
This website, mpwconsulting.eu, is operated by Marek Wróbel, trading as MPW Consulting, a sole proprietorship based in Warsaw, Poland. I am the data controller responsible for the personal data collected through this site. The easiest way to reach me about your data is through the contact page; if you need my registered business address — for example to exercise a data-protection right — I will provide it on request.
What data I collect, and when
I only collect personal data that you actively choose to give me:
- Enquiry form: if you use the contact form, I collect the name, email address and message you enter, so that I can reply to you.
- Newsletter sign-up: if you subscribe, I collect your email address so that I can send you occasional articles and updates.
I do not ask for, or knowingly collect, any special categories of data (such as health, political or religious information). Please don't include such information in a message.
How that data is handled
Form submissions and newsletter sign-ups are processed and stored through Netlify, the platform that hosts this website, which acts as my data processor. Submissions are delivered to me by email and retained in the Netlify dashboard so I have a record of our correspondence.
I use your data only for the purpose you provided it — replying to your enquiry, or sending you the writing you subscribed to. I do not sell your data, and I do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Legal basis
Under the GDPR, I rely on your consent (which you give by submitting a form or subscribing) and on my legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about my services. You can withdraw consent at any time — see your rights below.
How long I keep it
I keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to deal with your request and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you get back in touch. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe or ask to be removed. You can ask me to delete your data sooner at any time.
Cookies and third-party services
This site does not use advertising or analytics tracking cookies. A few third-party services are involved in running it:
- Netlify hosts the site and may set essential cookies or collect basic technical logs (such as IP addresses) needed to serve and secure the pages.
- Google Fonts is used for typography; loading these fonts may transmit your IP address to Google.
- Embedded video (where present) is loaded from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode, which avoids setting tracking cookies unless you press play.
If I add analytics in future, I will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.
Where your data is handled
The site is hosted on Netlify's global infrastructure, so data you submit may be processed on servers outside Poland. Where that happens, the data continues to be handled in line with the protections described in this policy. If you would like more detail, please ask.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access the personal data I hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Polish supervisory authority, the Urząd Ochrony Danych Osobowych (UODO). To exercise any of these rights, simply contact me.
Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
